Here’s a guide to understanding the LED status of your EV charger

Maintaining your EV charger


Safety Tips
  • Do not use the charging connector with an extension connector or an adapter.
  • Never use force to remove the plug from the vehicle. Dangerous electric arcs could result in serious injury or death.
  • Never touch the plug or charging connector if the plug is smoking or melting.
  • Always check the charging connector and the plug contacts for damage and contamination before use.
  • Never use a damaged charging connector or vehicle inlet.
  • Never use contacts that are dirty or damp.
  • Never attempt repairs to the charging connector. Replace damaged hardware, repairs are not possible.
Cleaning tips
Once you’ve contacted a licensed electrician, describe the installation work you need completed. They should be able to provide a quote in writing for you to accept.
  • Only clean the charging connector when it is not connected to the vehicle.
  • Clean the charging connector and dirty contacts with a dry cloth.
  • Never use abrasive cleaning agents, water jet or steam jet cleaners.
  • Never submerge the charging connector or plug in liquids.
